Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to allow additional expenditures under Contract 152379 with U.S. Peroxide, LLC to provide maintenance and supply services for the ferrous chloride modular storage and dosing systems owned by the Water Services Department. Further request to authorize the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item. The additional expenditures will not exceed $800,000.

Summary

This contract will provide the Water Services Department (WSD) with maintenance services for the ferrous chloride modular storage and dosing systems which are installed at two WSD locations, as well as provide the required ferrous chloride chemical, which is injected into the sanitary sewer systems to control odor and corrosion.

 

Contract Term

The contract term remains unchanged, ending on June 30, 2027.

 

Financial Impact

Upon approval of $800,000 in additional funds, the revised aggregate value of the contract will not exceed $10,600,000. Funds are available in the Water Services Department operating budget.

 

Concurrence/Previous Council Action

The City Council previously reviewed this request:

  • Requirements Contract 152379 (Ordinance S-52079) on June 18, 2025;
  • Requirements Contract 152379 (Ordinance S-46667) on June 2, 2020.
