Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into Amendment 2 to Contract 140508 with Steve Kinnaman & Associates, LLC (Sun City West, Ariz.) to increase the contract value to provide continued citywide elevator inspection on-call services. Further request authorization for the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item.

Summary
Steve Kinnaman & Associates, LLC (SKA) will provide professional services on an on-call basis for elevator evaluation, inspection and recommendations for repairs and upgrades to elevators in Phoenix City Hall and other City-owned public facilities. Additional contract capacity is required to cover future assignments through the remainder of the contract term.
Procurement Information
SKA was chosen to provide citywide elevator inspection on-call services using a direct-select process according to section 34-103 of the Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.).
Contract Term
The term of the contract is extended through Dec. 31, 2018. Contract work scope identified and incorporated into the contract prior to the end of the contract may be agreed to by the parties, and work may extend past the termination of the contract. No additional contract work scope changes may be executed after the end of the contract term.
Financial Impact
Amendment 2 will increase the contract value by $350,000, including all subconsultant and reimbursable costs. The new contract value will be $650,000. Funding for these services will be recovered through charges made directly to the specific projects assigned predominantly using operating budgets. Incidentals could utilize Capital Improvement Program budgets. Contract payments may be made up to contract limits for all rendered contract services, which may extend past the contract termination.
Concurrence/Previous Council Action
On May 13, 2015 City Council approved Contract 140508 with Steve Kinnaman & Associates, LLC in the amount of $300,000 for a term of three years.
On June 3, 2016, City Council approved Amendment 1 to Contract 140508, amending job titles and contract rates.
