The training topics will include human behavior in high pressure encounters and de-escalation techniques for law enforcement personnel at all levels. The Phoenix Police Department's Firearms Training Detail is responsible for the effective training of thousands of officers and recruits annually. The instructors must continually educate themselves on current techniques and teaching methods. Funding is available in the Police Department's budget.
