Description
Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a two-year contract with Hammercraft, Phoenix, AZ, for an amount not to exceed $60,000 to provide Specialty Restoration and Maintenance services for the City of Phoenix Public Art Collection on an as-needed basis. Further request authorization for the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item.

Summary
These specialty restoration and maintenance services are necessary to maintain the condition of indoor and outdoor City Public Art projects. Integrated into infrastructure Citywide, approximately 200 major works require cleaning and repair of damage caused by environmental wear and tear, accidents and vandalism. Approximately 25 City art projects require periodic specialized treatments to maintain their durability and appearance.
Hammercraft has extensive expertise in maintaining and restoring the wide range of materials used in City public art projects including, but not limited to; stainless steel, bronze, copper, aluminum, painted steel and other metals, concrete, stone, ceramics, plastics and glass.
Financial Impact
Funds are available in the Office of Arts and Culture operating budget.
Contract Term
This is a two-year requirements contract beginning on or about July 1, 2019. Provisions of the agreement will include an option to extend the contract for up to one additional year, which will be exercised if it is in the City's best interest.
