Description
Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a contract with Sign Posting of Arizona, LLC, doing business as Looks Good Printing and Sign Services, to purchase zoning, abandonment and historic preservation signs for the Planning and Development Department and Historic Preservation Office. Further request authorization for the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item. The aggregate contract value will not exceed $150,000, with an estimated annual expenditure of $30,000.

Summary
The awarded contractor will provide the Planning and Development Department and Historic Preservation Office with all the labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and transportation necessary to furnish, install, replace, and remove zoning, abandonment, and general hearing signs; as well as Historic Preservation blue street signs and aluminum plaques on an as-needed basis.
Procurement Information
Invitation for bid IFB 19-137 was conducted in accordance with Administrative Regulation 3.10. There was one offer received by the Procurement Division on June 7, 2019. The offer submitted by Sign Posting of Arizona, LLC, doing business as Looks Good Printing and Sign Services was evaluated based on price, responsiveness to specifications, and responsibility to provide the required goods and/or services. The price was determined to be fair and reasonable based on a comparison with previous contracts. The bid notification was sent to 264 suppliers and was publicly posted and available for download from the City’s website.
The Deputy Finance Director recommends that the offer from Sign Posting of Arizona, LLC doing business as Looks Good Printing and Sign Services be accepted as a responsive and responsible offer.
Contract Term
The five-year contract term will begin on or about Sept. 1, 2019.
Financial Impact
The aggregate contract value will not exceed $150,000, with an estimated annual expenditure of $30,000. Funds are available in the Planning and Development Department's operating budget.
