Respiratory Personal Protective Equipment Contract (Ordinance S-46278)

 

Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into an agreement with Municipal Emergency Services to provide respiratory personal protective equipment, and the repair, maintenance and calibration services for such equipment used by the Water Services Department (WSD). Further request to authorize execution of amendments to the contract as necessary within the Council-approved expenditure authority as provided below, and for the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item. The total contract value will not exceed $450,000.

Summary

The purpose of this agreement is to provide personal protective equipment to WSD employees that work in the vicinity of hazardous chemicals in order to prevent harmful exposure. This contract also provides for the repair, maintenance and calibration services of the personal protective equipment.

The selection was made using an Invitation for Bid procurement process in accordance with City of Phoenix Administrative Regulation 3.10.
