On May 20, 2026, the City Council approved Ordinance S-52963 relating to election precinct legal descriptions. That ordinance listed the name of precinct number 1992 as "Cave Buttes-Cielo Grande-Deer Valley 2-Mountain Gate (1992)". However, the correct name is "Cave Buttes-Cielo Grande-Mountain Gate (1992)." This correction removes the name "Deer Valley 2" from the title of precinct number 1992.
The City's voting precincts are based on combinations of County voting precincts. The correction requested aligns with the County precincts and does not change any existing City Council District boundaries.
