Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to add additional expenditures to Contracts 4701000019 with Accurate Placement LLC (Vendor 3017404), 4701000020 with All About People Inc. (Vendor 3039842), 4701000021 with Scott Business Group LLC (Vendor 3044877), 4701000022 with Accounting and Finance Professionals, Inc. (Vendor 3047048), 4701000024 with RW Staffing Solutions, LLC. (Vendor 3056435), and 4701000026 with Allstaff Services Inc. (Vendor 3060028), in an amount of $10,000,000. Further request authorization for the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item.

Summary

Contractors provide temporary staff to citywide departments.  The primary departments using the contracts are Housing, Information Technology Services, Parks and Recreation, Public Works, Finance, Fire, City Council Office, City Manager’s Office, Street Transportation, City Clerk, Planning and Development, Water Services, Neighborhood Services, Human Services, Library, Public Transit, Aviation, and Police. The temporary staff employed are critical to citywide business and facility operations. Additional funds are necessary to fulfill staff shortages throughout the citywide departments. Departments use the most cost effective contract to hire qualified temporary staff.

 

Financial Impact

With the $10,000,000 in additional funds, the contract’s revised aggregate value through June 30, 2019, is now $26,961,200 (including applicable taxes) with new estimated annual expenditures of $5,392,240. Funds are available in the Housing, Information Technology Services, Parks and Recreation, Public Works, Finance, Fire, City Council Office, City Manager’s Office, Street Transportation, City Clerk, Planning and Development, Water Services, Neighborhood Services, Human Services, Library, Public Transit, Aviation, and Police departments' budget. These contracts are available to all City departments.

 

Concurrence/Previous Council Action

These contracts are the result of RFP 14-023 awarded by Formal Council Action on June 18, 2014 with an estimated annual amount of $3,012,240 and an aggregate amount of $15,061,200.
