The Alliance is an international network of local governments and partners committed to accelerating innovation to enhance organizations' operations and to build stronger communities. Alliance, with its strategic partnership with Arizona State University, advances values by sharing knowledge of emerging practices, cutting-edge research, and providing professional development opportunities. The City has been a member since 2006, and over the years, staff has presented and participated at Alliance's Transforming Local Government conference and events. In addition, the City has been recognized with several Alliance innovation awards. Funding is available in the Budget and Research Department budget. The City Council Planning and Economic Development Subcommittee approved this item at its June 4, 2019 meeting.
