Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute an amendment to Agreement 161789 with TransCore, LP for assignment of the Agreement to STE TransCore Holdings, Inc. dba TransCore LP, a disregarded entity of STE TransCore Holdings, Inc. Further request to authorize the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item. No additional funds are needed. Further request authorization to continue using Ordinance S-51248.

Summary

The Agreement provides ongoing maintenance and support of automatic vehicle identification (AVI) hardware, which includes 100 vehicle readers and driver display monitors and is part of the Ground Transportation Management System at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).  The AVI system manages companies, drivers, and the movement of vehicles permitted for commercial ground transportation activity at PHX. TransCore, LP is the only manufacturer of the Amtech technology Radio Frequency Identification equipment used in PHX's AVI system.

 

Contract Term

The term of the Agreement remains unchanged and will expire on September 30, 2029.

 

Financial Impact

The total cost of the agreement will not exceed $4,071,152 and no additional monies are requested.

The City Council previously reviewed this request:

Automated Vehicle Identification System - Hardware Maintenance - Contract 161789 (Ordinance S-51248) on September 18, 2024.
