Report

Summary

The Human Services Department (HSD) and their custodial vendor have mutually agreed upon termination of their current custodial services contract, effective Dec. 31, 2020. To avoid a lapse in custodial services, HSD is being added as an authorized user of another current custodial services contract with Allied Universal Janitorial Services. This contract will provide custodial services for HSD's senior center locations throughout the City. Services include general cleaning of the interior and exterior of these locations, which include floor cleaning/disinfecting and restroom cleaning/disinfecting. The additional funds will allow HSD to continue to maintain the senior centers during this current COVID-19 environment.

Contract Term

This contract is effective from March 1, 2017 through Feb. 28, 2022.

Financial Impact

Upon approval of $389,812 in additional funds, the revised aggregate value of the contract will not exceed $6,962,957. Funds are available in the Human Services Department's budget.

Concurrence/Previous Council Action

This contract was originally approved by City Council on Jan. 25, 2017, and additional expenditures were approved by City Council on Aug. 26, 2020.
