Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to amend Contract 137571 with Altitude Lab Solutions, Inc. with a four-month extension from Jan. 1, 2019, through April 30, 2019. No additional funding is requested.

Summary

Altitude Lab Solutions, Inc. provides repair and maintenance services for laboratory equipment used at the Water Services Department laboratory. The instruments are used in water and wastewater sample testing to ensure regulatory compliance with the Arizona Department of Health Services, the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference, and Environmental Protection Agency. The sample testing also supports City permits for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, and for compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act and the Lead Copper Rule. The extension will allow sufficient time to complete a competitive process to award multi-year contract(s).

 

Contract Term

The term of Contract 137571 will be extended through April 30, 2019.

 

Financial Impact

There is no financial impact due to sufficient funding on the contract.

The City Council approved Contract 137571 on Dec. 18, 2013.
