Applicant’s Statement
The applicant submitted the following statement in support of this application. Spelling, grammar and punctuation in the statement are shown exactly as written by the applicant on the City Questionnaire.
I have the capability, reliability and qualifications to hold a liquor license because:
“I have prior experience in the restaurant industry from our family's previous ownership of Radda Caffe-Bar. My wife has worked in both restaurants and liquor distributorships, so we are aware of the laws. I have no history of liquor or DUI offenses. I am a reliable, organized person, with a vested interest in the longevity of this business.”
The public convenience requires and the best interest of the community will be substantially served by the issuance of the liquor license because:
“This restaurant, the Farish House, will be a new fine dining style of restaurant for the community: one that will encourage students, families & artists to gather around a fine meal. We plan on community involvement with First Fridays, A.S.A performances (our daughter is a student there), and also plan to partner with neighboring services to feed the hungry. A liquor license will allow us to host international wine dinners, offer guests quality beverages and allow us to broaden our services and income opportunity to thrive as a tax-paying business.”
