The training course will focus on hostage rescue and will include numerous techniques including entry tactics, threat priorities, multi-room and multi-floor sequences, distraction devices, and simultaneous entry of multiple breach points and rapid decision making. Hostage rescue training is a core function of the SAU and is imperative to promote the safety of officers and citizens. Funding for this course is available in the Police Department's budget.
