For $429,274.54 in additional payment authority for Agreement 146516, Change Orders 2 and 3 (Project ST87600114), Grand Canal Bike and Pedestrian Improvements Phase II for the Street Transportation Department. The change orders cover additional construction work necessary to complete the project including: electrical service to provide continuous pathway lighting and to power signalized pedestrian roadway crossings; steel material changes for the Sky Train Pedestrian Bridge; additional guard railing to enhance pedestrian safety at the Sky Train pedestrian bridge; wireless irrigation equipment; additional landscaping; unanticipated removal and replacement of asphalt paving, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and driveways; and additional fencing, retaining wall, and concrete spillway construction at multiple locations. This Change Order is essential to the health, safety, and welfare of the Public and critical operations for the City.
