Proposed Sun Up Ranch Annexation - Authorization to File - District 1

 

Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, to file with the Maricopa County Recorder's Office a blank petition for a proposed annexation. This annexation was requested by Chris Webb with Rose Law Group, P.C. for the purpose of receiving City of Phoenix services. The proposed annexation conforms to current City policies and complies with Arizona Revised Statutes Section 9-471 regarding annexation.

Summary

Signatures on the proposed annexation petition shall not be obtained for a waiting period of 30 days after filing the blank petition with the Maricopa County Recorder. Additionally, a Public Hearing will be scheduled within this 30-day waiting period, permitting the City Council to gather community input regarding the annexation proposal. Formal adoption of this proposed annexation will be considered at a later date.

 

Location

The proposed annexation area includes Parcels 202-22-001E and 202-22-005A, located in the vicinity of 43rd Avenue and New River Road (Attachment A). The annexation area is approximately 190.2551 acres (0.29727 square miles) and the population estimate is zero individuals.
