Summary
On February 28, 2020, the Judicial Selection Advisory Board forwarded the following names for consideration for two positions of Judge of the Phoenix Municipal Court:
David Allen
Patricia George
Frankie Jones
Mina Mendez
Alex Navidad
Barbara Parascandola
Aryka Radke
Bob Smith
On March 11, 2020 the Public Safety and Justice Subcommittee interviewed the above candidates and recommended Patricia George and Alex Navidad to be appointed to the Phoenix Municipal Court bench. In addition, they recommended Frankie Jones be appointed for a term to expire January 17, 2022, in the event that a judicial vacancy occurred within 60 days. Due to the pandemic the anticipated vacancy was delayed to later this summer. The Municipal Court has indicated that the anticipated vacancy will occur on July 2, 2020, so that the term of the appointment previously recommended for Frankie Jones would be effective July 6, 2020 and expire January 17, 2022.
