Description
Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a Distribution Design and Construction Contract with Salt River Project for Project ST87500061, Pecan Road from 9th to 10th Street. Further request to grant an exception pursuant to Phoenix City Code 42-20 to authorize inclusion in the documents pertaining to this transaction of indemnification and assumption of liability provisions that otherwise would be prohibited by Phoenix City Code 42-18. Further request authorization for the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item in an amount not to exceed $16,543.64.

Summary
The City is constructing new sidewalks, streetlights, Americans with Disabilities Act ramps and curbs and other necessary work. This Distribution Design and Construction contract represents the cost for Salt River Project’s design and construction of electrical facilities associated with the streetlights for the project.
Contract Term
The term of the agreement will begin on or about June 17, 2026, and will expire when the project is completed and accepted.
Financial Impact
The contract will not exceed $16,543.64. Funding is available in the Street Transportation Department's Capital Improvement Program budget.
