For $52,500.00 in additional payment authority for Contract Number 141429 to purchase Dell computer hardware for the Phoenix Fire Department Regional 9-1-1 Program. Additional funding is required to satisfy a new requirement of the State of Arizona Department of Administration, implemented July 1, 2019. The new requirement mandates all regional 9-1-1 program equipment and services be procured directly by municipalities. This equipment and related hardware components support Regional 9-1-1 Services, Emergency Services, which include an Internet Protocol Network (ESInet). The ESInet provides emergency communications among the Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) in the Maricopa region which include the following agencies: Apache Junction, Arizona State University, Avondale, Buckeye, Chandler, Fort McDowell, Gilbert, Glendale, Goodyear, Mesa, Paradise Valley, Peoria, Phoenix, Salt River Tribal, Scottsdale, Surprise, Tempe, Tolleson, and Wickenburg police departments; Luke Air Force Base, Mesa, Phoenix, and Rural Metro fire departments; and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. The City of Phoenix, as a political subdivision of the State and through resolutions by the Maricopa Association of Governments member agencies, was designated as the contracted agent for the 9-1-1 system in 1989.
