Mutual Indemnification Agreement with Maricopa County Air Quality Department Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant (Ordinance S-53139) - Districts 3, 5 & 7

 

Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to enter a mutual indemnification agreement with Maricopa County Air Quality Department (MCAQD) for the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) grant awarded to the Office of Sustainability. City Council has already approved the Office to submit, accept and disburse funds associated with this grant.

Summary

The purpose of this request is to enter into a mutual indemnification agreement with Maricopa County Air Quality Department. This agreement is for the full lifecycle of the grant, ending September 30, 2029. Refer to Attachment A for the mutual indemnification agreement details.

 

This is an 80/20 federal grant, where MCAQD, through the CFI grant funding, will reimburse 80 percent of project costs, and the City of Phoenix provides a 20 percent non-federal match. 

 

Contract Term

The agreement term with MCAQD is for five years. Grant funding must be fully spent by September 30, 2029.
