Description
For $24,000.00 in additional payment authority for Contract 133514 for wildlife management for the Aviation Department. This additional spending authority is needed to accommodate the recommendation of the Wildlife Hazard Assessment for Phoenix Goodyear Airport, 1658 S. Litchfield Rd., after three bird strikes between 2005 and 2016. Based upon the recommendations in the assessment, an additional biologist was hired on a short-term basis to mitigate a very high level of wildlife activity that was deemed a threat to public safety. This is in addition to the full-time biologist located at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
