Summary
The City of Phoenix HSD administers several key programs aimed at providing support and resources to tenants facing financial hardship. These programs are designed to ensure housing stability, educate tenants and landlords on their rights and responsibilities, and offer legal assistance to prevent evictions. The primary programs include:
- Rental and Utility Assistance - Provides financial aid to eligible households struggling to pay rent or utility bills. This program helps prevent homelessness and ensures continued access to essential services.
- Landlord-Tenant Education - Offers workshops and resources to educate both tenants and landlords on rental laws, lease agreements, and conflict resolution.
- Eviction Legal Services - Partners with legal aid organizations to offer free or low-cost legal assistance to tenants facing eviction proceedings, helping them understand their rights and available options.
The presentation will include service details and key statistics of the various programs.
