TLOxp Online Investigative Services Contract - EXC 23-120 - Amendment (Ordinance S-52989) - Citywide

 

Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to allow additional expenditures under contract 158563 with TransUnion Risk and Alternative Data Solutions Inc. for the continued purchase of TLOxp Online Investigative Services for the Police Department. Further request to authorize the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item. The additional expenditures will not exceed $250,000.

Summary

This contract provides Police Department staff with subscription services to the TLOxp Online Investigative Service Database. These services include access to an online investigative database of public and proprietary information. The TLOxp database is a powerful analytic tool used to research people, locations, and companies that helps streamline processes and delivers quick turnaround of information and completion times for rapid identification and apprehension of criminal violators. This service has provided officers with relevant, actionable, and timely information since 2012 to locate suspects, persons of interest, and potential witnesses to crimes. The information available in this database is vital to the role and mission of the Police Department.

 

This item has been reviewed and approved by the Information Technology Services Department.

 

Contract Term

The contract term remains unchanged, ending on June 14, 2027, with three one-year options to extend.

 

Financial Impact

Upon approval of $250,000 in additional funds, the revised aggregate value of the contract will not exceed $388,600. Funds are available in the Police Department’s budget.
