Report

Summary

On Sept. 9, 2021, President Biden issued Executive Order 14042 (https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2021/09/09/executive-order-on-ensuring-adequate-covid-safety-protocols-for-federal-contractors/) requiring Federal agencies to amend contracts with Federal contractors to implement COVID safety protocols in the workplace. Compliance with the Executive Order requires that "covered contracts" be amended to include language mandating vaccination of covered contractor employees. In November, additional guidance (https://www.saferfederalworkforce.gov/contractors/) was issued which clarified that the City is a covered contractor and all City employees are subject to the vaccine requirement.
