Report

Summary

Operational Need: Without this interface, with the Department of Public Safety (DPS), the Department would be unable to access Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) information, list stolen vehicles outside of Phoenix, identify a vehicle as stolen outside of Phoenix, report a missing person outside of Phoenix, determine if an individual has a warrant outside of Phoenix, or book a suspect into Maricopa County jail.

This contract will provide the software platform to allow the Police Department to interface with DPS, which houses all external criminal justice databases, including the Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). This contract will allow the Police Department to maintain an agreement with Pragmatica LLC through the State of Arizona’s Cooperative Agreement. Extending the contract term to align with the State of Arizona Master Agreement will synchronize the contract terms and also include an optional one-year extension.

This item has been reviewed and approved by the Information Technology Services Department.

Contract Term

Upon approval, the contract will be extended through April 27, 2031, with a one-year option to extend.

Financial Impact

Upon approval of $58,180 in additional funds, the revised aggregate value of the contract will not exceed $128,180. Funds are available in the Police Department’s budget.
