Description

Request for the City Council to accept and dedicate to public use right-of-way abandoned by ADOT Resolutions 2019-09-A-026, 2019-09-A-029, 2019-09-A-030 and 2019-10-A-0033; further ordering the ordinance recorded.

 

Report

Summary

The right-of-way is no longer needed by ADOT for state transportation purposes, and the City will accept jurisdiction, ownership and maintenance responsibilities, subject to appurtenant, existing access control, which shall remain intact and under ADOT control. Costs of the additional maintenance are not significant.

 

Maps depicting the right-of-way can be found in Attachment A. The ADOT Resolutions will be recorded with the Maricopa County Recorder.

2019-09-A-026 is located between Escuda Drive and the State Route 101 Freeway, east of 23rd Avenue.

2019-09-A-029 is located within Dove Valley Road, east of Interstate 17.

Council District: 2

 

2019-09-A-030 is located within Mountain View Road, east of State Route 51 and N. 32nd Street, west of State Route 51.

Council District: 3

 

2019-10-A-033 is located within Bell Road, west and east of Interstate 17 and within the Interstate 17 northbound on ramp.
