Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a contract with Adorama, Inc. (Vendor 3029691) to purchase camera equipment and supplies for the Police Department. Further request authorization for the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item.

Summary

The contract will provide camera equipment and supplies for the Phoenix Police Department Crime Lab. High quality cameras and accessories are necessary to ensure effective documentation of data from crime scenes. The detailed technology allows accurate processing for any and all evidence that is vital for each specific case.

 

Procurement Information

IFB 17-116 was conducted in accordance with Administrative Regulation 3.10. The following offers were received by the Procurement Division on Feb. 24, 2017:

 

Adorama, Inc.:  $28,618.87

Woodgate Sales LLC:  $30,903.00

Tri-State Camera Exch. Inc.:  $32,091.35

 

The Deputy Finance Director recommends that the offer from Adorama, Inc. be accepted as the lowest priced, responsive and responsible offer.

 

Contract Term

The term of the contract is five years, which will begin on or about June 1, 2017.

 

Financial Impact

The aggregate contract value will not exceed $175,000 over the life of the contract. The estimated annual expenditure is $35,000. Funds are available in the Police Department's budget.
