Online Training Authoring Licenses - EXC-HR-21-026 - Amendment (Ordinance S-53004) - Citywide

 

Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute an amendment to Contract 156822 with Articulate Global, LLC. Further request an exception to the indemnity and assumption of liability provisions of section Phoenix City Code Section 42-18. Further request to authorize the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item. No additional funds are needed; request to continue using Ordinance S-48614.

Summary

This contract provides Citywide trainers with the ability to develop custom, interactive courses to be uploaded into the learning management system. The renewal licenses will allow City staff continued use and the ability to create fully responsive and interactive courses which can be used on every type of device. Some key features include a continually updated content library with more than six million images, customizable slide templates and live and on-demand online training. The amendment for the licenses renewal includes negotiated Artificial Intelligence (AI) features and terms, including indemnity and assumption of liability provisions that require an exception to Phoenix City Code Section 42-18.

 

This item has been reviewed and approved by the Information Technology Services Department.

 

Contract Term

The contract term remains unchanged, ending on June 28, 2027.

 

Financial Impact

The aggregate value of the contract will not exceed $332,000, and no additional funds are needed.
