Description
Request City Council authorization to extend and increase the corporate limits of the City of Phoenix, Arizona, by annexing an area not within the present limits of the City of Phoenix, designated as the 109th Avenue and Indian School Road Annexation. Further request authority for current county zoning to continue in effect until municipal zoning is applied to the annexed territory.

Summary
This annexation was requested by Patrick Bergeron, for the purpose of receiving City of Phoenix services. The proposed annexation conforms to current City policies and complies with Arizona Revised Statutes section 9-471 regarding annexation. The City Clerk Department has received signed petitions representing 100 percent of the assessed value and 100 percent of the owners, excluding utilities, within the proposed annexation area.
Public Outreach
A public hearing was conducted on Oct. 2, 2019, to allow the City Council to gather community comment regarding the annexation proposal. Notification of the public hearing was published in the Arizona Business Gazette newspaper, and posted in at least three conspicuous places in the territory proposed to be annexed. Also, notice by first-class mail was sent to each property owner in the area proposed to be annexed.
Location
The proposed annexation area includes parcel 102-58-579B at 4106 N. 109th Ave. (Attachment A). The annexation area is approximately 0.0483 acres (0.00007 sq. mi.) and the population estimate is three individuals.
