Description
Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into new contracts with the 33 companies listed below for professional development, facilitation, and training services for various City departments. Further request authorization for the City Controller to disburse funds related to this item. The five-year aggregate value of all contracts will not exceed $2 million.

Summary
The Human Resources Department receives numerous requests from City departments for services which require procurement of specialized professionals and consultants to provide professional development, facilitation, and training services. The vendors referenced below are qualified firms or individuals who will be placed on a Qualified Vendors List (QVL) to provide professional facilitation, training, motivational speaking, or management consulting services to departments citywide or with members of the community. The engagement formats may include, but are not limited, to community engagements, workshops, focus groups, informational sessions, seminars, departmental training, meetings and work sessions. Solutions to be provided by contracted vendors range from turn-key solutions to highly customized sessions in order to meet department and/or the community's needs.

Procurement Information
Request for Qualifications (RFQu) 20-031 was conducted in accordance with Administrative Regulation 3.10, with the intent of establishing a list of qualified vendors to supply professional development, facilitation, and training services to departments citywide. There were 45 offers received by the Finance Department's Procurement Division on Oct. 11, 2019. The offers were evaluated by a committee which determined that the following 33 offers met the City's minimum qualifications criteria:

The Finance Director recommends that the offers from the above vendors be accepted as responsive and responsible offers that are most advantageous to the City.

Contract Term
The five-year contract term shall begin on or about Feb. 1, 2020.

Financial Impact
This is a Citywide contract and funds are available in the various departments' budgets. The five-year aggregate value of all contracts will not exceed $2 million.
