(CONTINUED FROM JUNE 28, 2017) - Amend Personnel Rule 15, Leaves of Absence (Ordinance S-43746)
Description
Request City Council approval of the attached amendments to City of Phoenix Personnel Rule 15, Leaves of Absence. The proposed amendments are designed to conform the Personnel Rules with State law changes on Earned Paid Sick Time and other elements of Proposition 206, approved by the voters in November 2016, and which take effect on July 1, 2017. The attached document (Attachment A) outlines revisions and new text in all caps; deletions are noted in strikethrough and shaded gray. Additional information for this item on the July 6 agenda is included as Attachments B & C. Per Personnel Rule 23b, these amendments shall become effective upon the date of their approval by the City Council.
Public Outreach
Public meetings were conducted by the Human Resources Department on June 5 and June 6, 2017, to formally solicit comments on the proposed amendments. The attached amendments were reviewed at those meetings and comments were considered.
