Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to spend $37,500 in additional money under Contract No. 149782 (Contract) with Wenimm LLC.  Total expenditures will not exceed $662,500 over the five-year aggregate term of the Contract. Further request authorization for the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item.

Summary

The Contract was originally awarded to the Public Works Department to supply transmission rebuild and exchange services for City-owned vehicles. The Aviation Department is requesting to be added as a user of the Contract. The Aviation Department is responsible for maintaining approximately 450 fleet vehicles that range from pool vehicles to first responder vehicles for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Phoenix Deer Valley Airport, and Phoenix Goodyear Airport. The Contract is needed to allow expeditious transmission service to properly maintain the safety of the fleet vehicle operators.

 

Contract Term

The initial one-year term of the Contract began on June 1, 2019.  The Contract has four one-year options to extend the term.

 

Financial Impact

Additional money in the amount of $37,500 will increase the total contract value to $662,500 over the five-year term, if all options are exercised. Funds are available in the Aviation Department's budget.

This item was recommended for approval by the Public Works Department at the Formal City Council meeting on May 1, 2019.
