Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a contract with Stafford Tower Crane of America, LLC, to provide annual roof anchorage systems inspections. The total aggregate amount is $650,000 over the life of the contract. Further request authorization for the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item.

Summary

The awarded contractor will perform annual inspections and incidental repairs of the safety roof anchorage systems located at City Hall, Municipal Court, and the Convention Center. The contract will be used by the Phoenix Convention Center and Public Works departments.

 

Procurement Information

Invitation for Bids (IFB) 20-FMD-013 was conducted in accordance with Administrative Regulation 3.10. On May 20, 2019, the solicitation was posted on the City’s website. Public Works, Procurement Division, received two offers on June 12, 2019. The offer submitted by Stafford Tower Crane of America, LLC, was evaluated based on responsiveness to all specifications, terms and conditions, and responsibility to provide the required services.

 

Contract Term

The contract term will be for 10 years and shall begin on or about Oct. 1, 2019 through Sept. 30, 2029 with no options to extend.

 

Financial Impact

This contract will have a $65,000 estimated annual expenditure, with a total aggregate amount of $650,000 over the life of the contract. Funds are available in the Phoenix Convention Center and Public Works departments' budgets.
