Description
Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a contract with Hill Brothers Chemical Company to provide sodium hypochlorite for the Water Services Department. Further request to authorize the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item. The total value of the contract will not exceed $5,600,000.

Summary
The Water Services Department uses a variety of chemicals to continuously treat surface water and wastewater to meet federal, state and local regulations. This contract will provide the ability to purchase sodium hypochlorite on an as needed basis. The product is used as a disinfectant in the water treatment process.

An Invitation for Bid procurement was processed in accordance with City of Phoenix Administrative Regulation 3.10.
Three vendors submitted bids and are listed below and two bidders were determined to be responsive and responsible. Following an evaluation based on price, the procurement officer recommends award to the following vendor:

Contract Term
