Applicant’s Statement

The applicant submitted the following statement in support of this application. Spelling, grammar and punctuation in the statement are shown exactly as written by the applicant on the City Questionnaire.

I have the capability, reliability and qualifications to hold a liquor license because:

“I have experience working in customer service in the past and am anxious to have my own restaurant. I will be attending the basic and management liquor law training soon to learn all the State laws. I am also excited to own a business in Phoenix as the City has done an amazing job in cleaning up depressed areas and revitalizing all areas of the city.”

The public convenience requires and the best interest of the community will be substantially served by the issuance of the liquor license because:

“I have been open selling just food and the business is doing well. There was a Taco Shop here previously so I believe the community is anxious to have a new restaurant at this location. The sale of alcohol is simply a convenience to customers who wish to have alcohol to complement their food order. It is not the primary purpose of my business. My employees will attend liquor law training to become familiar with valid identification & to identify and prevent sales to intoxicated customers. I plan to be here a long time.”
