Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a contract with Triangle Services, Inc., for custodial services at Housing Department senior housing facility locations. Further request authorization for the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item. The five-year aggregate value of the contract will not exceed $672,000, with an annual estimated expenditure of $134,400.

Summary

This contract will provide complete custodial services, including labor, cleaning supplies and materials, equipment, tools, vehicles, and supervision necessary to clean various Housing Department senior housing facilities located within Phoenix city limits.

 

Procurement Information

Invitation for Bid (IFB) 18-043 was conducted in accordance with Administrative Regulation 3.10. There were five offers received by the Finance Department's Procurement Division on Nov. 17, 2017. The following is a tabulation of the monthly rate for all locations:

 

Triangle Services, Inc.:  $12,017.00

Jani-Serv Inc.:  $13,012.00

UBM Enterprise Inc.:  $14,073.94

 

The Deputy Finance Director recommends that the offer from Triangle Services, Inc., be accepted as the lowest-priced, responsive and responsible offer.

 

Contract Term

The five-year contract term shall begin on or about Feb. 1, 2018.

 

Financial Impact

The aggregate value of the contract shall not exceed $672,000 over the life of the contract, with an annual estimated expenditure of $134,400. Funds are available in the Housing Department's budget.
