Applicant’s Statement

The applicant submitted the following statement in support of this application. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation in the statement are shown exactly as written by the applicant on the City Questionnaire.

I have the capability, reliability, and qualifications to hold a liquor license because:

“1) I am an experienced convenience store business owner, currently own two other convenience store/gas stations. 2) I currently own/operate two other liquor licenses #s 010080012504, 009070028414. 3) My licenses have never been suspended or revoked. 4) I am trained/aware of the responsibilities of owning/operating a liquor license, such as, sale restrictions to minors & intoxicated customer, and supply distribution laws etc.”

The public convenience requires and the best interest of the community will be substantially served by the issuance of the liquor license because:

“1) An alcohol license has been operating at the same location for decades. 2) Access to alcoholic products at that specific location serves a larger set of households nearby, otherwise, a lot of folks will have to drive to a distant location to purchase alcohol. 3) No schools or other specialized organizations exist in the proximity of the store, that would otherwise restrict the issuance of the license."
