Description

Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to acquire real property and related property interests by donation, purchase within the City's appraised value, or by the power of eminent domain for a water rehabilitation improvement project at 7th Street and Roeser Road. Further request to authorize the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item.

Summary

The City is undertaking a project to rehabilitate a 48-inch water transmission main at 7th Street and Roeser Road. Improvements will include installation of new steel lining inside the existing pipeline located within the existing Roeser Road right-of-way. The temporary construction easement is necessary for construction staging purposes to facilitate improvements to the water transmission main pipeline.

 

The parcel affected by this project and included in this request is identified by Maricopa County Assessor's parcel number 113-48-050A located at 702 E. Roeser Road.

 

Financial Impact

Funding is available in the Water Services Department Capital Improvement Program budget.
