Report
Summary
The purpose of this project is to implement a series of improvements that target current pedestrian and vehicular safety concerns on 35th Avenue between Interstate 10 and Camelback Road, as well as improve vehicular mobility.
This amendment is necessary because the project has moved into construction and additional design, post-design, and construction administration and inspection services are needed to support the City through construction completion. This amendment will provide additional funds and time to the agreement.
Contract Term
The term of the agreement amendment is three years from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed amendment. Work scope identified and incorporated into the agreement prior to the end of the term may be agreed to by the parties, and work may extend past the termination of the agreement. No additional changes may be executed after the end of the term.
Financial Impact
The initial agreement for Engineering Services was approved for an amount not to exceed $3,094,505, including all sub-consultant and reimbursable costs. This amendment will increase the agreement by an additional $700,000, for a new total amount not to exceed $3,794,505, including all sub-consultant and reimbursable costs.
This project will utilize federal funds and is subject to the requirements of 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26. Funding for this amendment is available in the Street Transportation Department's Capital Improvement Program.
