Description
Request to authorize the City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, to allow additional expenditures under Contract 159257 with Airwave Communications Enterprises Inc.; Contract 159259 with Arizona Emergency Products, Inc.; Contract 159239 with Hyper Customs, LLC dba Arizona Truck Pros; Contract 159284 with Automotive Custom Lighting, LLC; Contract 159241 with Don Chalmers Ford Inc. dba MHQ of Arizona; Contract 159242 with J.B. Poindexter & Co, Inc. dba Reading Truck Equipment; Contract 159243 with Kenco OR, LLC dba LSH Lights; and Contract 159244 with Pride Outfitting, LLC for fleet vehicle accessories and installation. Further request to authorize the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item. The additional expenditures will not exceed $8,150,000.

Summary
The Public Works Department is responsible for the purchase and upfitting of fleet vehicles citywide. The City's fleet is comprised of more than 8,600 vehicles and pieces of equipment. These contracts provide for the purchase and installation of fleet vehicle accessories, including, but not limited to, toolboxes, bed liners, lift gates, auxiliary lighting and van shelving. Upfitting is essential to the City's fleet because it ensures each service vehicle is equipped with the specialized tools and equipment needed to safely and efficiently perform critical City functions.
Contract Term
The contract term remains unchanged, ending on September 30, 2026, with two one-year options to extend the contract term.
Financial Impact
Upon approval of $8,150,000 in additional expenditures, the revised aggregate value of the contracts will not exceed $25,364,600.
Funds are available in the Aviation and Public Works departments' operating budgets.
Concurrence/Previous Council Action
The City Council previously approved Contracts 159257, 159259, 159239, 159284, 159241, 159242, 159243, and 159244 (Ordinance S-50153) on September 20, 2023.
