Description
Request authorization for the City Manager, or his designee, to accept approximately 10 acres of vacant, undeveloped land located north of W. Mountain View Drive and east of SR 202, via a separate recording instrument from CACH Holdings, LLC, its successors, and assigns, and to designate as "Mountain Preserve" in accordance with the provisions of Chapter XXVI of the City Charter.

Summary
In May 2026, the Parks and Recreation Board approved to accept a land donation into the City of Phoenix South Mountain Park/Preserve. The donation is approximately 10 acres of undisturbed, desert land and consists of intact habitat, native vegetation and wildlife movement corridors that will hold meaningful conservation value and strengthen the ecological continuity for the Preserve. The property will be conveyed via a separate recording instrument at no cost to the City.
The real property to be accepted is identified by Maricopa County Assessor parcel number of 300-04-015W.
