Description
Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to allow additional expenditures and agreement extension with ADT dba MSE Corporate Security; Climatec LLC, dba Climatec Building Technologies; and Corporate Technology Solutions for Security Systems Installation and Maintenance for the Public Works Department. Further request authorization for the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item. The additional funds will not exceed $4,660,000, and the aggregate with all contract extensions will not exceed $19,660,000.

Summary
The agreements with ADT dba MSE Corporate Security; Climatec LLC, dba Climatec Building Technologies; and Corporate Technology Solutions are used for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and system repairs to existing systems that are used throughout the City. Security maintenance services are required to maintain critical assets and infrastructure for approximately 360 buildings throughout the City. The additional funds and contract extension will allow the Public Works Department to continue ongoing maintenance and repairs for the existing systems in coordination with the Citywide Security and Access Control Project.
Contract Term
The initial contract extension will begin Feb. 1, 2020 and end Jan. 31, 2021 with two additional one-year options to extend.
Financial Impact
The additional funds will not exceed $4,660,000, and the aggregate with all contract extensions will not exceed $19,660,000. Funds are available in the Public Works Department's budget.

This contract is the result of Request for Proposals (RFP) 15-AMD-001 awarded by Formal Council Action on Dec. 17, 2014: Contract 140041 ADT dba MSE Corporate Security; Contract 140043 Climatec LLC, dba Climatec Building Technologies; and Contract 140045 Corporate Technology Solutions.
