Description
Request to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to allow additional expenditures under Passenger Boarding Bridges Maintenance and Repair Services Contract No. 159532 with Oxford Electronics, Inc., dba Oxford Airport Technical Services (Oxford), to purchase Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) maintenance and repair services for the Aviation Department. Further request to authorize the City Controller to disburse all funds related to this item. The additional expenditures will not exceed $1,000,000.

Summary
The Contract provides for repair and maintenance services on the common-use PBB at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Oxford will provide preventative maintenance as specified in the Original Equipment Manufacturer maintenance manuals for all PBB equipment to ensure protection of all passengers, peak performance, and minimal downtime. Additional funds are necessary to pay for unforeseen costs to upgrade PBB supporting equipment, including portable pre-conditioned air units that are necessary to support the common-use PBB and gates and safeguard operations and comfort under extreme weather conditions.
Contract Term
The term of the Contract term remains unchanged and will end on Nov. 30, 2026. The Contract contains two one-year options to extend the term with the maximum term through Nov. 30, 2028.
Financial Impact
Upon approval of $1,000,000 in additional funds, the revised aggregate value of the Contract will not exceed $7,475,000. Funds are available in the Aviation Department’s budget.
