Report

Summary

In 2021, CAWCD granted permission to the City of Phoenix to construct a 12-inch water line and two 4-inch sewer lines within CAWCD-controlled land. CAWCD recently noted that the construction license expired as of November 1, 2023 and is requesting the City execute a land use license retroactively to an original date of April 1, 2023, for the new land use license CAWCD #2020-005B.

Contract Term

The term of the license is for 25 years, from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2048.

Fees in the first five years of the new land use license will not exceed $24,000. Funds are available in the Water Services Department's Operating budget.
