Report
Summary
This amendment extends the Public Transit Department's existing maintenance and support agreement for the Transit Regional Radio System (TRRS), on behalf of, and in support of, the regional transit system. The agreement covers maintenance and support for voice recorder systems, mountaintop equipment, on-premise back-end servers, and 26 consoles that are spread across various cities. The TRRS is a critical subcomponent of the regional Computer-Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Location (CAD/AVL) system for over 900 transit vehicles and provides the radio and data communications necessary for transit vehicle tracking, dispatching, and coordination with regional partners.
As the Public Transit Department upgrades the CAD/AVL system, it is essential that all associated CAD/AVL components remain stable and fully supported throughout the life of the new license. This amendment will ensure that the radio system is properly maintained and supported through the life of the CAD/AVL system.
This item has been reviewed and approved by the Information Technology Services Department.
